Mauricio Sarri is not such a well-known manager at least compared to others that are also competing in the EPL with the likes of: Jose Mourinho, JurgenKlopp, Mauricio Pochettino and Roy Hodgson are a few of the more prolific managers that are currently competing in the top tier English competition.
Some of those aforementioned managers have lifted a few of the most sought out pieces of silverware including the UEFA Champions League, Bundesliga, Serie A are some of the most prestigious titles in the world of football and they have been lifted by a few of those tacticians.
In the entire managerial career of Chelsea’s Mauricio Sarri, he has never secured the trophy of any top league and having to face off against so many veteran tacticians, is something that can be very intimidating which is pretty clear as the former Napoli manager said:
“To finish the first two, as you know, for me it’s very difficult. I think City and Liverpool are a step forward to us. It’s very difficult. But I think we can fight to get in the Champions League. Here it’s very difficult to arrive in the first four”
“There are six, seven top-level teams, top in Europe, not only in England. It’s not easy to get in the Champions League. We have to try of course. We have to try to stay very close on the table with the top-level teams. And we have to try to improve more”
Before making his way to the English Premier League and being elected as the latest coach of Chelsea, Mauricio Sarri had an extensive career as the head coach of various Italian clubs including: Napoli, Empoli and Pescara just to name a few.
Whether or not Mauricio Sarri is able to compete and defeat these experiences managers is something that remains to be seen but so far, out of the 10 opening Premier League matches of the 2018-19 season, Chelsea has managed to snatch the 3rd spot and now his task is to continue this impressive start of their campaign.
